When I look back to my childhood
Nothing seems clear to me
And I’m still waiting for all the things they took from me
As I go down to the basement
They keep an eye on me
And even if I give it a try
There’s nothing, nothing to be done
Although I don’t know how to work it out
There’s something behind that door
And I look around, looking for something
Holy place where all is nothing
We can find a better way
And they’re looking good, pretty faces
Hiding behind sunglasses
We can find an other day
Whatever you say
I catch sight of it in the corner
As concealed as it can be
But the closer I get the more it disappears
And even if I give it a try
There’s nothing, nothing to be done
Although I don’t know how to sort it out
There’s something behind that door
And I look around, looking for something
Holy place where all is nothing
We can find a better way
And they’re looking good, pretty faces
Hiding behind sunglasses
We can find an other day
Whatever you say
